About Me

Hello! My name is Rameesah Khan. I am an illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. I am a graduate from OCAD University, with a major in Illustration and a minor in Game Design. I am passionate about creating digital paintings, concept art, children’s books, comics, and graphic novels. I enjoy creating concept art for 2D games, including pixel art. I also have a strong interest in 3D modelling and animation, and would love to learn and develop my skills in 3D game design.  

Illustration

I enjoy creating both analogue and digital illustrations. I use pencil crayons, ink pens, and markers when creating traditional media. For digital projects, I like to use on Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Throughout my university career, I explored a diverse range of mediums and techniques in illustration. I have created illustrations for various projects, including magazine covers, book covers, children's book illustrations, comics, graphic novels, packaging label designs, card designs, spot illustrations, social justice posters, concept art and personal art.  

Concept Art

I also enjoy creating concept art. At OCADU, I have taken courses in character design and digital painting. Additionally, I have dabbled in 2D and 3D animation. Through these experiences, I have developed and learned new skills, particularly in digital painting. My goal is to implement the techniques I have acquired into my concept art projects. I have worked on several concept art assignments, which encompass character designs, background designs, prop designs, card designs and simple digital painting exercises. I aspire to further enhance my skills in visual development and pursue opportunities within the television, film and gaming industries.  

2D Game Design

I love crafting characters, backgrounds, levels, maps, assets and props for games. Through game design projects, I've independently acquired skills in creating pixel art and animation for 2D games. I completed a 2D Game Design course at OCADU where I learned the basics of the game engine software, Unity, developed my programming knowledge, and designed assets, backgrounds and concept art for a simple original game. As the gaming industry expands daily, so does my enthusiasm for this field. I'm keen on advancing my expertise in game development, with a particular focus on 2D game design. Additionally, I hope to refine my abilities in creating 3D games and low poly game art.
